HomeStreet Bank Appoints Edward C. Schultz as California State President for Commercial Banking

HomeStreet Bank has hired Edward C. Schultz as its president for the state of California and executive vice president in Commercial Banking. Schultz will be based in the San Francisco office where he will oversee all Commercial Banking strategy and activities for the state.

“California is a very important state for us from a growth perspective, and we needed someone who could build upon the momentum we have seen so far,” said Mark K. Mason, HomeStreet’s president and CEO. “Ed was the perfect fit for us, and we look forward to his leadership and expertise as we grow in California.”

Schultz comes to HomeStreet with over 30 years of banking experience where he has excelled in building commercial banking relationships and brand presence in new markets. He also has a strong background in developing specialty-lending teams to serve technology and financial services.

Schultz is very active in the local community and has served on the boards of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation, an organization that develops and manages housing for the underprivileged, the American Conservatory Theater, and the Silicon Valley Leadership Group.
