Welcome to Financial IT

Our name tells you where we are - at the intersection of financial services and Information Technology (IT).

Arguably these are the most important global industries. Financial services provides credit (and much else besides) that is essential to the rest of the economy. Without IT, financial companies (i.e. not just banks) are unable to cope with the present, the future or with each other.

What we do is to provide a voice to the technology companies that are serving the broadly defined financial services industry. We are a forum in which technology providers - and other key protagonists - can tell their stories.

Because we not a technology company and we are not a financial services organisation, we provide neutrality and transparency. That is why the material that we publish is worth reading. Even if you fundamentally disagree with what is said - whether in our own content or that of others - you will find valuable insights.

How does our forum work?

Although it provides journalism through a news feed, it emphasises analysis - meaning hard numbers, solid facts and actionable insights.

Contributors may make their views heard through blogs, reports, whitepapers, interviews or webinars - as well as by way of contributed articles to our flagship Financial IT magazine.

Our editors provide a constant stream of video interviews - as we move towards the launch of our FIT TV channel.

Original research appears in two new proprietary publications - the Fintech Atlas by Financial IT and the Fintech Pathfinder. The former explains what is happening and where, with a focus that is expanding outwards from the UK. The latter explains who will be who in fintech: it includes comprehensive details of raisings by new(ish) start-ups that have not yet listed.
