Worldline [Euronext: WLN], the European market leader in payment and transactional services, is proud to announce that it has been awarded the “European Top Employer 2021” prestigious certification by the Top Employers Institute, a global authority that recognises excellence in people management.

As a top industry leader and #1 digital payment player in Europe, Worldline is proud to now also be recognised as a European employer of choice, rewarding its long-term commitment and efforts in settling exemplary managerial and people practices within the company. In 2020, Worldline already received local certifications from the Top Employers Institute in Belgium and in Poland. Today, Austria, Germany and the Netherlands are joining the league of Worldline top employers’ countries.

Owning now a local certification in five European countries – where it is recognised as a local top employer – enables Worldline to be certified as a truly “European” Top Employer.

The Institute evaluation covered all Worldline’s Human Resources domains through various extensive surveys and audits, enabling to assess the company’s internal practices and policies in Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development and Recruiting, while also involving many stakeholders within the company.

Worldline is dedicated to offering an attractive working environment that nurtures its employees’ potential and enables them to grow. This reward is the result of the company's rigorous efforts in deploying a responsible employer strategy, reinforcing and implementing numerous actions internally.  Worldline continuously promotes its employer brand and focuses on people integration or career development & mobility through several programmes in all of its entities, while always encouraging social dialogue.

As a responsible employer, Worldline has an ambitious vision of its social responsibility, a mission that is also supported by the company purpose (“raison d’être”), gathering the Worldline community around a long-term, coherent and shared vision. This purpose has allowed Worldline to anchor the company values – Innovation, Excellence, Cooperation & Empowerment – and the behaviours we expect within Worldline.

Olivier Burger, Group Head of Human Resources at Worldline, said: “This certification rewards the commitment and collective work of Worldline people, and is even more crucial this year as we are facing an unprecedented macro-economic and social context due to the Covid-19 health crisis.

As a European and global market leader, it is of strategic importance for us to retain our talent and experts as well as to attract new ones. Being part of the community of European Top Employers will significantly enhance our visibility as an attractive company to work for.

As a company we strive to ensure we are improving continually. In the years to come, we are therefore determined to make Worldline progressing even more, by extending this certification to other countries through our continuous effort.”

Top Employers Institute CEO David Plink says: “Despite the challenging year we have experienced, Worldline has continued to demonstrate the power of putting their people first in the workplace. We are proud to share this year’s announcement and congratulate the organisations who have been certified in their respective countries through the Top Employers Institute programme.”
