AIM Software intensifies presence in North America

AIM Software, the leading independent provider of data management products to the financial industry, announced that it has strengthened its presence in North America and opened an additional office in New York based on three strategic hires.

Responding to the very strong demand for the Business Applications launched last year, AIM Software has recruited three new hires to strengthen its market presence in North America. The new staff includes senior profiles previously working at Calypso, Rabobank, and Interactive Data. The unit will be based in New York to provide professional services, local support, and direct account management for AIM Software’s recent strategic client wins in the region, which include two Tier 1 Buy-Side organizations.

Martin Buchberger, CEO of AIM Software, said: “We view these recent client wins in this region as a strong sign of demand. These firms made it clear to us in the selection process that they prefer targeted Business Applications rather than tool-based custom development, when it comes to data management”.

The business applications are packaged, purpose-built sets of business functions, including end-user workflows, allowing business users to configure the application as the business grows and changes, without having to go back to IT for every change. They are aimed at improving discrete business processes, underpinned by strong data management capabilities.

“AIM Software has committed to delivering the most user-friendly platform for data management”, continued Buchberger. "Based on the feedback from our large user pool, we embarked on what we understand as the next evolutionary step in enterprise data management with ready-to-use business applications based on our platform GAIN.”

AIM has recently received the “Best EDM Platform for Portfolio Pricing & Valuations” award at the prestigious Data Management Summit (DMS) 2014 in London.

Josef Sommeregger, Global Head of Sales, comments: “Firms are looking for more efficiency in their data management operations. At the same time, they are striving to keep costs down, while keeping the data and the process under control. Two US-based Tier-1 customers are currently implementing our Business Applications to improve their operational efficiency and reduce their data costs.”

Based on these two very important customer relationships and a strong pipeline, AIM Software will continue to invest heavily in North America to satisfy this increasing demand in the coming year. The additional office in New York will be the first milestone of this larger strategy.
