Pismo, the global cloud-native core banking and cards platform, announced that Neeraj Kumar, based in the UK, will lead the enterprise architecture structure.

Kumar, who has more than 25 years of experience in IT strategy, architecture, and infrastructure, will help define Pismo's platform architecture roadmap to increase even more resilience, security, scalability, and performance.

Prior to joining Pismo, Kumar was a Principal Technologist at AWS (Amazon Web Services) for over 8 years. His core expertise lies in enabling cloud adoption for mission-critical systems. He also worked in technology leadership roles at BP, Accenture, and Nokia.

“We are thrilled to have Neeraj Kumar in our team. His leadership and expertise in building resilient cloud-native systems will be invaluable as we continue to expand and evolve. We look forward to the positive impact he will undoubtedly make within our team,” says Daniela Binatti, co-founder and CTO at Pismo.

The Pismo platform offers an array of microservices and APIs for payment processing and core banking. These functional "building blocks" equip financial companies with the means to swiftly develop and roll out new products and services. Being cloud-based, the platform also ensures scalability to coincide with business growth, all the while upholding security and availability standards.

“By leading the Enterprise Architecture team, I will also drive the adoption of new technologies and design patterns to support Pismo's continued hypergrowth and onboarding customers in a seamless manner. It’s an exciting time to be a technologist,” says Neeraj Kumar.

Earlier this year, Pismo was acquired by Visa International. With this new partnership, Pismo will be able to reach greater heights on the global scale and continue to be pivotal in the ongoing transformation and modernization of the financial sector landscape.
