Kroll Bond Rating Agency Appoints Patrick Welch as Chief Credit Officer

Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) announced today the appointment of Patrick Welch to the role of Chief Credit Officer. Pat will be reporting to Jim Nadler, President and COO.

Pat joins from Goldman Sachs where he spent the last 19 years focusing on risk management. Most recently he was a Vice President in Goldman’s Credit Risk Management and Advisory Department and a Deputy Chief Credit Officer for GS Bank, USA. As a senior credit risk manager covering the Structured Finance and Mortgage sectors he held oversight responsibilities for securities investments, securities underwritings, warehouse lending, whole loan trading and regulatory matters. In addition he held oversight responsibility of counterparty and investment credit risk management for select funds managed by Goldman Sachs Asset Management. During his tenor at Goldman Sachs Pat was a member of several senior level risk, underwriting and regulatory committees. Prior to his role at Goldman Sachs, Welch was a Director at Standard & Poor’s Structured Finance Ratings Group in which he covered numerous asset classes including mortgages, credit cards, commercial paper and various international securitizations.
