Highlighting the critical need for cash and working capital to grow a business, Basware, the global leader in networked purchase-to-pay (P2P) solutions, e-invoicing and innovative financing services, has launched a campaign with Indiegogo, the largest global crowdfunding and fundraising site, to provide capital for the “Next Big Thing.” The company is soliciting the expert opinions of corporate finance professionals to vote for the start-up with the best business potential among five finalists. Basware will provide funding to the winning innovation.

“To help their companies reach the next level, finance professionals today must not only help identify growth opportunities, but also ensure ready cash flow to take advantage of these opportunities.  ‘The Next Big Thing’ sheds light on this issue, and with the help of finance professionals, enables us to discover untapped business potential, so we can provide capital to support innovation,” said Bob Cohen, Basware VP.

Finance professionals can vote here (nextbigthing.basware.com) for one of the five innovations that has the most potential to become The Next Big Thing. Voting will be conducted through June 30; terms and conditions can be found on the site. Everyone who votes will be entered into a random drawing for a chance to receive the winning product.

The candidates include:
  • AIDO – the interactive home robot
  • ATMOTUBE* – measuring air pollution wherever you are
  • NOHBO – eco-friendly shampoo balls that are a sustainable alternative to plastic
  • rLOOP – high-speed transport through reduced pressure tubes
  • JmGO VIEW – for projecting 180° 3D movies anywhere
“Helping companies improve their working capital for business growth has always been a key focus of ours. In addition to helping fund the winning candidate of ‘The Next Big Thing,’ our suite of Financing Services gives firms of all sizes new options to get paid faster, boost their cash flow and lower their Days Sales Outstanding,” Cohen said.
