It is safe to say there has been a proliferation of newly launched banking APIs (application programming interfaces) in the last few years. From Europe to Asia Pacific, more and more financial institutions are embracing the open banking movement and it can be difficult to track new releases. Recently, while conducting research, I came across openbankingapis.io: a website tracking banking API efforts around the globe.

The simple interface allows you to:

  • Search solutions by geographical clusters.
  • Search solutions by type (Account APIs, Payment APIS, Customer APIs, etc…).
  • Track new related press releases and other announcements.
  • Access official solution sites.

Let’s hope this project keeps on growing and its associated tool gets updated on a regular basis.
