I’ve been meaning to also write a blog update on all things about blockchain for a while, but just haven’t had time.  As it’s summer, I now have more time, so here goes.

OT (Oberthur Technologies), a leading global provider of embedded security software products and services, today announced its partnership with Axis Bank, India’s third largest private bank to offer the first open loop EMV contactless smart cards to be used in public transportation in Bengaluru, the third most populous city of India.

Accenture will provide Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) with application services. In this role, Accenture will support HMRC to increase its use of digital technologies across HMRC’s primary personal tax platform, the National Insurance and PAYE Service (NPS).

Under the terms of the agreement, which runs through to June 2020, Accenture will develop, implement and maintain a secure cloud-hosted tax-management platform for individual taxpayers. The services will be provided from the Accenture Delivery Center in Newcastle, part of the Accenture Global Delivery Network.

WinMagic Inc., the intelligent key management and data security company, has today released survey data in which IT managers say they thwart an attempted data breach at least once a month.  The survey of 250 IT Managers found that a staggering 23% stop a breach every day.  A data breach can be the result of an attack on the network, or an employee inadvertently sending or taking information out of the corporate network without adequate care.

TomTom Telematics has today announced a collaboration with Sage, the market leader in cloud accounting software.

Northern Trust Capital Markets announced today that it has hired Ben Brownette as a research analyst in its Sydney, Australia office.

This appointment marks the first hire in the region by Northern Trust Capital Markets since acquiring institutional brokerage business, Aviate Global in May this year. This acquisition brought Northern Trust its second office in Australia.
