SmartBear Displays Complete Product Portfolio at IBM InterConnect 2017

SmartBear Software, the leader in software quality tools for teams, is exhibiting its complete product portfolio at IBM InterConnect, taking place on Sunday, March 19 – Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Las Vegas. At booth #663, SmartBear is providing live demonstrations of API and software lifecycle tools, including Swagger, Collaborator and SoapUI. Tony Tam, Vice President of Swagger Products, is speaking at three sessions, all focusing on the Open API Initiative (OAI), the open governance structure under the Linux Foundation aimed at creating, evolving and promoting a vendor neutral API description format based on the Swagger Specification.

Tony Tam, alongside Jeffrey Borek, Worldwide Program Director, Open Cloud Business Development at IBM, is presenting, “The Open API Initiative at Twelve Months and Counting: Here's What You Need to Know.” Attendees learn about the origins of the Open API community and get details on the new OAS v3.0.0 specification release. Additionally, in the session, “Learn How to Connect Microservices Using the Open API Initiative,” attendees learn how IBM Bluemix, using the Liberty buildpack and API Connect, can be used to propel your open API applications into the API economy. Tony Tam is joined by Arthur De Magalhaes, Senior Software Engineer and REST Architect - WebSphere Application Server at IBM.
