Specialist RegTech provider Shield is proud to announce it has won two categories in the well-respected Wealth and Finance International FinTech Awards2019. Shield’s comprehensive solution has been recognised as ’Best Financial Compliance Solutions Provider 2019 – Europe’ and ‘Best European eComms: Trades Compliance Platform’.

Commenting on the win announcement, which took place on Monday 15th July, Shiran Weitzman, Founder and CEO at Shield stated, “We are very excited and proud to be recognised by these two key categories in this year’s FinTech Awards. As a relatively young, fresh and exuberant company we believe our expertise, flexibility and sheer will to improve the RegTech industry are key reasons we are winning considerable market share and being recognised by leading financial sector awards such as these.”

A spokesperson for the FinTech Awards also stated, “Our nomination, selection and judging process took over three months, during which time our industry experts counted and researched nominations, analysing all supporting evidence to ensure that only the most deserving and top performing individuals, firms and products were recognised. After looking at testimonials from customers and looking at similar businesses that offer comparable platforms to Shield’s within Europe, we have seen fit to award both categories to the company.”

Shield’s market-leading platform offers the complete solution for regulation compliance monitoring and reporting. It provides a data solution across the entire lifecycle (from capture, to secure analysis and flexible but comprehensive investigation) and is fully future-proof - continually evolving to tackle fresh challenges from new legislation and advances in technology.

The company has continued to closely develop its systems with financial sector firms since its launch in 2018. Shield was formed to provide an intelligent and automated answer to the demanding requirements of current legislation (such as GDPR and MiFID II) and forthcoming regulations (such as the hotly anticipated EU ePrivacy legislation), which have rendered traditional manual compliance monitoring methods as impractical, expensive and unreliable.

Shield recently launched several exciting new features for its platform, including AI for the reduction of false positives and Financial Context Recognition (FCR), along with the Shield Cloud deployment platform, which offers even greater flexibility for firms to select their preferred Cloud storage provider. It also recently launched its integration with Microsoft Teams as one of the first compliance platforms to provide full surveillance as well as record and search of Microsoft Teams interactions.
