Vertex, Inc., the leading provider of corporate tax software and services, today announced the promotions of Chris Jones and Penny Vennerholm to executive management roles within the company.

Chris Jones has been promoted to Vice President, Global Sales, focusing on sales strategy and planning at the enterprise level. This will include establishing sales operations in new regions and providing executive leadership for the company’s global alliance relationships.

Penny Vennerholm is now Area Vice President, Client Relationship Development, N.A., focusing on executive account management in North America. In addition to leading sales and account management, she will also have responsibility for sales from an operational perspective.

In their new roles, Jones and Vennerholm will provide executive focus, presence, and support for the multitude of opportunities facing Vertex.
