Equals Appoints Ed Chandler as Chief Operating Officer

Equals, the next-generation global money movement platform for businesses, has appointed Ed Chandler as Chief Operating Officer. Ed’s leadership of global commercial strategy and operations further strengthens customer delivery as the company scales its enhanced money movement capabilities.

Ed brings more than 25 years of experience across payments and financial services, having held senior positions at Visa, Mastercard, Barclaycard and OKTO Payments. He has led commercial and operational teams across global organisations and high-growth businesses, driving operational transformation, commercial growth and long-term value creation.

His appointment supports Equals’ continued growth trajectory following its successful rebrand and integration. Bringing together modern payments, innovative compliance and premium servicing, Equals delivered another year of significant double-digit growth and £60 billion in annual transaction volume in 2025/26.

Ed will play a key role in scaling Equals’ embedded money movement platform and cross-border capabilities, supporting SMB, large and strategic businesses not only to embed payments and accounts into customer experiences, but also to build and operate payment products on Equals’ infrastructure.

Built on more than 18 years of payments technology innovation, the Equals platform currently supports businesses to collect, manage, convert and send payments across more than 30 markets in over 140 currencies.
