Fenergo, the leading provider of digital solutions for know your customer (KYC), transaction monitoring and client lifecycle management (CLM), has bolstered its presence in the EMEA region with the appointment of Ruth Ormsby as Managing Director of EMEA. Ormsby started her role on 29 April.

Based in London, Ormsby is leading on delivering Fenergo's ambitious growth strategy across EMEA, in response to increasing demand for its technology following intensifying regulatory scrutiny across Europe and the UK. Changes to the regulatory environment driving demand include the recently adopted expansion of the EU’s anti-money laundering (AML) measures and the proposed changes to the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) Financial Crime Guide.

Leveraging her extensive experience engaging with clients and leading large sales teams of over 700 professionals, Ormsby is tasked with strengthening Fenergo’s presence in the corporate and institutional banking sector as it seeks to adopt more robust controls for AML and KYC compliance, while driving operational efficiency gains. Ruth is also responsible for establishing and maintaining key relationships with senior professionals operating in the space.

Ormsby brings over 24 years’ experience in building high performance teams across various sectors in the region, with a background working with large enterprise customers at board level. She joins Fenergo from Salesforce, where she served as Senior Vice President of all industries in the UK and Ireland. Prior to that, Ormsby was Managing Director, Head of Strategy and Growth for Technology for UK and Ireland at Accenture, having previously held roles at Capgemini and Ernst & Young.
