Elbra Wedgeworth Joins FirstBank’s Board of Directors

FirstBank Holding Company, the holding company for Colorado’s second largest bank, announced that longtime Denver civil-servant Elbra Wedgeworth is joining the company’s Board of Directors.

Wedgeworth, who is the Chief Government and Community Relations Officer at Denver Health, has held several civic positions in all three branches of city government, including: City Council, Auditor’s Office and Mayor’s Office. Her appointment to FirstBank’s Board of Directors will be effective Jan. 1, 2017.

“Elbra will make an outstanding addition to our board,” said John Ikard, CEO of FirstBank Holding Company. “She has a proven track record of helping organizations thrive, is a visionary leader and well respected member of the community. We know she’ll be a great asset in driving our financial performance, strategic partnerships and community engagement efforts forward.”

Wedgeworth started her career in public service in 1989 and has been recognized as one of the Most Influential Women in Colorado by the Denver Post for her professional achievement and devotion to community service.

As of Sept. 30, FirstBank reported total assets of $16.6 billion, an increase of 10.4 percent from the same time last year. FirstBank is also recognized as one of the most charitable organizations in the state by the Denver Business Journal.
