New research of 2,000 UK consumers from emerchantpay found that 13% do not feel loyal to any brands in any retail verticals, with this rising to nearly a quarter (23%) amongst baby boomers and almost one-in-three (31%) in over 75s. However, pre-and-post pandemic, the grocery, food and drink sector saw a surge in customer loyalty, with nearly half (49%) saying they felt more loyal to these brands, including 57% Baby Boomers.
