Experts from around the world have collaborated to track the status of open banking and open finance around the world. Open Future World’s 2022 Global Progress Ebook brings together key players including central banks and leading fintechs to provide insights into the implementation of open banking and future challenges.

The free to download ebook features over 20 countries spanning North and South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, Oceania and the Middle East. The publication charts progress in each country in a standardised and easily comparable way for the first time.

The publication, supported by Mastercard, Finansystech, Moneyhub and Worldline, also features special editorial focusses on China, Singapore and Europe, with the latter provided through an exclusive interview with Wijnand Machielse of The Berlin Group.

“A brief look at the history books makes it clear how quickly change is currently taking place”, argues Fabian Lehner of OpenBankingProject.ch. “Interoperability of emerging systems, common standards, shared learnings and successful innovations all drive progress towards a better, fairer and more inclusive world.”

“We’re grateful to our many contributors who understand the importance of collaboration - a principle underpinning the API partnerships and ecosystems we see emerging across the world.  We look forward to shining a light on great work in even more countries as we continue to share progress in open finance” said Marie Walker, Co-founder of Open Future World.
