Hartford InsurTech Hub Announces Collaboration with international Law firm Clyde & Co

Hartford InsurTech Hub, powered by Startupbootcamp, announces its latest collaboration with international law firm, Clyde & Co. The firm will act as Hartford InsurTech Hub’s exclusive legal partner, providing the startups in the Hartford program with high level advice on how to tackle the legal issues they might experience. 

Clyde & Co is a world-renowned law firm with specialist expertise in the insurance sector, covering a broad range of corporate and insurance regulatory areas, including entity licensing, and products. By bringing the team on-board, the aim is to provide comprehensive coverage of the issues that are most pressing for the startups. These challenges might include, but are not limited to: incorporating in different jurisdictions, as not all of the startups are US based; and direction on looking to do business in a highly regulated industry, such as insurance. 

The announcement follows the news that leading claims management firm, Crawford & Company, has partnered with Hartford InsurTech Hub in recent months. Clyde & Co joins the list of respected industry names working with Hartford InsurTech Hub, in addition to Crawford & Company: Cigna, The Hartford, Travelers, USAA, White Mountains, and CTNext.

Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data Analytics and Natural Language Processing combined with Cyber Security, Smart Home and Health Insurance, to name but a few, display the diverse range of technologies and insurance types that are exhibited by the group of 10 companies that have been selected. Hartford InsurTech Hub’s inaugural Demo Day will take place on April 18th, showcasing the 10 startups and celebrating the transformation they have gone through, and the results they have achieved since the beginning of the program in January.
