After receiving an unprecedented number of nominations from across the insurance industry, the finalists of the Insurance Innovation Awards 2018 have been revealed, Insurance Nexus have announced.

As recent research conducted by Insurance Nexus demonstrates, insurance is undergoing dramatic and industry-wide transformation. 96% of the (over 500) senior executives interviewed agreed with the statement that “carriers must transform their operations significantly to meet the needs of customers in the future”. It is in the context of this sweeping change that the Insurance Innovation Awards are being held; to recognize and celebrate examples of innovation that are vital to the longevity and success of the North American insurance industry, as well as to encourage others to follow suit.

“We’re especially excited about this year’s insurance Innovation Awards,” said Emma Sheard, Head of Strategy at Insurance Nexus. “We received so many applications from all corners of the industry and found it incredibly difficult to pick a shortlist from all of the entrants. These are exciting times, with many start-ups entering the space and many more that never make it on the actual stage, but regardless of who the winners and losers are, the insurance industry as a whole should gather insight and learn from the resulting knowledge of major success examples and failures alike.”

The Insurance Innovation Awards are being held in conjunction with the Connected Insurance USA Summit, taking place November 28th - 30th at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Chicago. The awards ceremony will be held at the conference on the evening of the November 28th, where the winners of all categories will be announced.
