Rapid Addition, a leading provider of trading technology, has completed the integration of DET Tech, whom they acquired in October last year. The firm has continued to build on momentum after the integration with additional hires and clients in the last six months. The superior flexibility of the DET Hub and the capabilities of Rapid Addition’s FIX engine and FPGA technology has created a new generation of etrading performance.

RA Hub and RA monitor work with exchanges, banks, brokers, the fund management industry and high-frequency traders to provide complete control and flexibility to construct and visualise high-speed, low-touch electronic trading environment.

The London-based firm has combined the two technology teams, with Fahiem Rahim and the founders of DET-Tech Petr Postulka and Jaromir Satanek heading up the expanded product development team in Prague. Rapid Addition have also brought in industry practitioners, with experience of working on electronic trading desks, to the sales team.

Maria Netley and Darren Batsford both join the sales team.

Having worked for RBS, Credit Suisse, UBS, and the London Stock Exchange, Maria has extensive experience in both connectivity & algorithmic trading sales, and business management for equities & futures.

Darren joins after helping build the sales and operational side of Squawker, successfully launching an equity and convertible bond block trading platform for sell-side investment banks, regional brokers, market makers and proprietary desks.

The new team’s efforts have bolstered the firms overall product offering, which will be showcased at their stall during Trade Tech Paris this week. The new RA Hub builds on the established RA Cheetah FIX Engine to provide real time monitoring, visual configuration tools and a customisable user interface to create a scalable 21st Century electronic trading infrastructure.

The updated RA Monitor breaks new ground in providing support to clients, monitoring obligations of MiFID II, and can either stand alone or integrate into the RA Hub. Operations and trading teams can use the platform to deliver, manage and monitor electronic trading more efficiently and quickly than ever before.

Kevin Houstoun, Chairman of Rapid Addition, said, “The new platform we have developed with the DET-Tech team makes life much easier for operations and trading teams. We’re really excited about the momentum we are building with the integration of Petr and Jaromir’s knowledge and experience, and we are better positioned than ever before to meet the needs of the financial industry and continue our exceptional growth. Our expanded sales team are looking forward to engaging the industry and working with our many friends in the etrading community.”
