Bittium has received a purchase order for a tactical communications system and related integration work to be delivered to the Estonian Defence Forces. The ordered tactical communications system is based on the Bittium Tactical Wireless IP Network™ (TAC WIN) system and includes also products from the Bittium Tough VoIP™ product family, including Bittium Tough VoIP Service™ software product. The order contributes to a reform that aims to improve the Estonian Land Forces’ IP (Internet Protocol) data transfer capability and availability, where Bittium’s TAC WIN system will be integrated to a bigger system entity.

Bittium TAC WIN system will be used to modernize the IP data transfer, develop the performance of the tactical data network, and diversify the wireless and wired connectivity of the system entity used by the Estonian Land Forces. Bittium Tough VoIP product family’s products will be used to upgrade the Land Forces’ IP voice service, and together with Bittium TAC WIN system, Bittium Tough VoIP Service software forms a solution that seamlessly integrates the tactical network and its voice services for leading the troops even in the most demanding situations. In addition to the system delivery, Bittium will also do integration work that will enable Bittium’s system, the systems already used by the Estonian Land Forces, and equipment to be acquired from third parties to be seamlessly incorporated to the same system entity.

The product deliveries specified in the purchase order will commence at the end of the year 2016.

The order has no significant impact on Bittium's net sales, operating result or financial standing, and it has also no effect on Bittium's financial outlook for the year 2016, published today on November 3, 2016 in Bittium's Interim Report January-September 2016.
