Miranda McLean, Chief Marketing Officer at inclusive global payments platform, Ecommpay, has been shortlisted in the prestigious Women in Payments EMEA 2025 Awards.  Winners will be announced at an Awards dinner in London on 9th April following the Women in Payments EMEA symposium.

Miranda has advocated for women and other minority groups in the tech community for a number of years and firmly believes that the FinTech sector must be as open and diverse as possible. She has, therefore, devoted considerable personal time to champion the skills and expertise of diverse groups.  Since 2019 she has served pro-bono on the Executive Board of the European Women Payments Network (EWPN) and has helped grow the community to over 12,000 members across Europe championing the skills and expertise of women in FinTech.

2024 saw Miranda spearhead a series of initiatives at Ecommpay to enhance equity, diversity and inclusion in the company’s services for merchants and retailers as well as across the internal organisation. Key to this was the rebranding in September to position Ecommpay as THE inclusive global payments platform.

A significant commitment was made to the accessibility of the Ecommpay website and payments platform, using colours, fonts and layouts that ensure accessibility for those with visual and hearing impairment and cognitive and physical disabilities. A dedicated inclusivity programme – Ecommpay for Good – was also launched for merchants, including free access to a Guide to Digital Accessibility. And its partnerships with Project Nemo and the European Women in Payments Network further underline Ecommpay’s commitment to inclusivity.

Commenting on the shortlisting Miranda said: “At Ecommpay we are inherently committed to inclusivity and diversity and I am delighted that the work I am leading has been recognised in the Women in Payments EMEA 2025 Awards.”
