SQUID, the universal loyalty platform, has successfully closed its crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube, raising an impressive €1.69M—exceeding its initial target of €1.15M-€1.35M. The campaign attracted 2,624 investors, further cementing SQUID’s position as a leading force in digital loyalty solutions for small businesses.

Record-Breaking Investor Engagement

SQUID’s crowdfunding campaign saw significant engagement from both institutional and retail investors, with a diverse range of backers joining the mission to transform customer loyalty.

 Investor Breakdown:

  • Majority retail investors: 2,045 Irish investors participated, demonstrating strong local support.
  • Broad age distribution: The campaign saw 900 investors (33%) aged 18-30, followed by 778 investors (31-40) and 521 investors (41-50), highlighting strong engagement from millennial and Gen X backers.
  • Balanced gender participation: 1,172 female investors, 1,443 male investors, and 66 identifying as other, reflecting a wide-reaching appeal.
  • Most common investment range: 905 investors contributed between €101-€500, showing broad accessibility for supporters at all levels.

SQUID's Growth & Next Steps

The funds raised will be deployed to accelerate the rollout of Wave, SQUID’s next-generation universal points system, designed to streamline loyalty rewards across its growing network of over 2,000 business clients in Ireland and the UK. Additionally, SQUID will use the investment to further expand into new markets and enhance its cutting-edge marketing tools for small businesses.
