Mogo Announces Formation of Mogo Ventures to Manage its $124 Million Investment Portfolio

Mogo Inc., one of Canada’s leading financial technology companies, announced the formation of Mogo Ventures to manage its existing investments in strategic partners and companies that support Mogo’s ecosystem, including a 39% stake in Coinsquare, one of Canada’s leading crypto exchanges, investments in leading and emerging crypto and Web3 platforms including Gemini, NFT Trader and Tetra Trust, investments in gaming companies including Enthusiast Gaming and Eleven Gaming, investments in Bitcoin and Ether.

British Business Investments Commits Up to €20M to Bootstrap Europe III

British Business Investments announces it has agreed to commit up to €20 million to Bootstrap Europe III, a female-led venture debt fund targeted at fast-growing technology and impact businesses. This commitment is the continuation of British Business Investments’ support for Bootstrap, following its earlier commitment of €30 million to the successful previous vintage, Bootstrap Europe II.

Jeeves Raises $180 Million Series C at $2.1 Billion Valuation Within One Year of Public Launch

Jeeves, the all-in-one corporate card and expense management platform for global startups, announced that it has raised a $180 million Series C at a valuation of $2.1 billion. The Series C round, which closed in March 2022, comes just seven months after the company’s Series B round. This equity financing comes on the heels of recognition from Y Combinator’s Top Companies of 2022, The Information’s 50 Most Promising Startups of 2021, and FoundersBeta’s Top 100 Tech Companies to Watch for in 2022. 

Livestock Data Management Platform Breedr Raises £12 Million to Build Better Trading and Cash-flow Products for Farmers

Breedr, the precision livestock trading and analytics platform, has raised £12 million in a mixture of equity and debt led by Investbridge Capital. The new funding, which includes Breedr’s recent crowdfunding round, will be used to develop new financial products and services that will enable farmers to invest in their futures and transform farming across the world, starting with the UK. Breedr was founded by Ian Wheal in 2019, who grew up on a farm in Australia, to revolutionize outdated and inefficient agricultural practices by moving to individual animal management.

Proxymity Announces New Strategic Investment by BNP Paribas Securities Services

Proxymity, the leading digital investor communications platform, announced that BNP Paribas Securities Services has invested $6 million in its latest Series B fundraising. BNP Paribas Securities Services, one of the world's largest custodian banks, is the ninth major global financial institution to join the Consortium backing Proxymity. Investment extends Series B, its second round of funding, with an additional $6m, bringing the total raised to $37 million.

ChargeAfter Raises $44M in Series B From World’s Leading Banks to Scale Global BNPL Financing Network

ChargeAfter, the market-leading Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) consumer financing network that provides shoppers with responsible, approved financing offers from multiple lenders with a single application, and bespoke white-labeled BNPL platform services for global banks and financial institutions has announced the completion of their $44M Series B. The round was led by The Phoenix, with participation from global banking giants Citi Ventures (Citigroup), Banco Bradesco, MUFG (Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group), and existing investors.

Global Ecommerce Payments Enabler, Reach, Secures $30m Investment to Accelerate Growth

Reach, the leading global eCommerce payments enabler has secured a $30 million investment, as it bids to accelerate its mission of unlocking a global customer base for merchants through a streamlined payment, tax,and fraud platform. The round, led by Vistara Growth, includes investment from Bluesky Equities, Tribune Capital, and Rising Tide. The capital will be used to dramatically scale up Reach’s development teams, with a focus on merchant success and onboarding, as well as expansion into new shopper geographies to help grow local acquiring networks for both merchants and partners.

Saphyre Secures $18.7 Million in Series A Funding from J.P. Morgan, BNP Paribas, and HCAP Partners

Saphyre, Inc., a leading FinTech company that leverages patented AI technology to structure all pre-trade data while eliminating post-trade inefficiencies, announced the successful completion of its Series A round of $18.7 million, led by HCAP Partners, with J.P. Morgan and BNP Paribas participating in the round. Terms of the investment were not disclosed. Saphyre’s AI-powered platform enables direct collaboration between multiple financial parties related to the same client.

ClearBank Raises £175 Million Led by Apax Digital to AccelerateGlobal Expansion

ClearBank, the largest next-generation clearing and embedded banking platform in the UK, announced a £175 million equity investment. The round was led by funds advised by Apax Digital, the growth equity arm of Apax, a leading global private equity advisory firm. Existing investors, CFFI UK Ventures (Barbados) Ltd and PPF Financial Holdings BV, also participated.
