deltaDAO, a data economy solutions company, today launches its Gaia-X Web3 Ecosystem network upgrade based on Polygon Supernet.

deltaDAO’s Web3 Gaia-X Ecosystem takes a decentralized and federated approach to data management, allowing data and services to be freely and securely built, collated, shared and monetized while operating according to common standards, policies, and rules. The network enables transparency, controllability, portability, and interoperability across data and services. The solution can be deployed on any cloud platform, on-premise or edge-infrastructure that adheres to the Gaia-X standards.

deltaDAO will also build towards an identity ecosystem including the decentralized model of the Gaia-X compliance service and registry of the Gaia-X Trust Framework via Polygon ID, a self-sovereign, decentralized, and private identity framework for the next iteration of the Internet, powered by zero-knowledge (ZK) cryptography. Polygon has made ZK a centrepiece of its strategic vision and has committed $1 billion to related projects.

Ethical use of technology and the ethical use of data is at the core of this joint endeavour of deltaDAO and Polygon. Both aim to give users back control over their digital identities and data and create a more sustainable global data economy. An inclusive economy that is open for everyone, but owned by no one.

Currently, the Gaia-X initiative includes more than 2,000 participants from over 350 institutions and enterprises across 14 national hubs, ranging from the US over Europe to Japan, that are co-creating the future of digital infrastructure and digital services. Gaia-X members range from Airbus, Amazon Europe, Deutsche Telekom, DE-CIX, EIT Manufacturing, Fraunhofer, Google, Intel Corporation, Ionos, Microsoft, Oracle, OVH, Robert Bosch GmbH, SAP, Siemens, Telekom Austria, TNO, VMWARE, Volkswagen, and many more.

Albert Peci, Co-Founder and Web3 Lead of deltaDAO: "We've designed the Web3 Gaia-X Ecosystem with Ocean Protocol and our partners to enable businesses and public institutions to safely store, exchange and process their data in a decentralized and resilient way using Web3 technology to remove single points of failure and control. By teaming up with Polygon, deltaDAO reinforces its vision of a privacy-preserving, sustainable and decentralized data economy.”

By launching a Supernet — a customizable, modular, and dedicated blockchain network built within the Polygon Edge framework — deltaDAO will be able to build a robust application-specific chain while avoiding unnecessary complexity.

“We’re thrilled to become deltaDAO’s infrastructure partner in its mission to provide an open and federated data economy for the European digital ecosystem,” a Polygon said Antoni Martin, Co-Founder Polygon. “By leveraging Polygon Supernets and Polygon ID, Gaia-X will reap all the benefits offered by Web3 in a modular and seamless manner, allowing them to deploy projects that fully adhere to the core principles of decentralization while preserving privacy and championing sustainability.”

Ultimately, deltaDAO’s mission is to establish a federated system linking service providers and users together in a transparent and secure environment. This will drive an open, inclusive, sustainable, transparent, secure, and decentralized data economy where data and services can be freely and securely built, collated, and shared while operating according to common standards, policies, and rules. It gives freedom of choice and ownership back to owners and enables decentralized data monetization while staying in complete control of sensitive and valuable information.
