Perkbox appoints former Travelzoo EMEA General Manager as Enterprise Customer Success Director

Next step in company’s international expansion plans

In line with the company’s international expansion plans and shortly after the completion of its brand new scalable platform, Perkbox, UK’s fastest growing employee benefits platform, is disclosing some further organisational changes to its London HQ with the appointment of Tom O’Connor as Enterprise Customer Success Director.

Tom will be using his experience as the first hire in Europe to kick start the sales team effort at Travelzoo -where he later progressed to Sales Director UK and subsequently EMEA General Manager, to develop and strengthen the talent of Perkbox’s own Customer Success Team, as the company looks to expand internationally.

Having completed and integrated one acquisition already, Perkbox is currently evaluating acquisition opportunities, building strategic relationships and joint-ventures in seven global markets in EMEA, North America and Asia. O’Connor will be in charge of making sure Perkbox’s Enterprise Customer Success Team is the best around throughout the transition.

This will involve, making sure that the team is always there to support the sales function at all key stages of the process and that it confidently proposes new solutions to customers. It will also mean ensuring that it is continuously acting as a core Perkbox representative to the company’s most valued customers and prospects. 

By working closely with customers, Perkbox wants to help 10 Million employees be happier at work by 2020 and 100 Million by 2025 - 100 times more than the current base. The company believes that it is in the best position to become the global leader in driving a great workplace culture. Tom will be key in helping drive this success with the numerous challenges and opportunities that come along the way.

Tom’s varied background is very well suited for the role. Having started at Travelzoo, where he spent 9 years, until becoming EMEA general manager - working closely with Sales, marketing, product and content, Tom is commercially-minded and has clear leadership abilities. He also has experience working in a variety of different environments, from start-up to scale-ups. He has been an entrepreneur at two startups he co-founded and most recently UK & Ireland’s Country Manager for Go Euro.
