Capita announces today it has launched Pay360, a new simple and flexible customer payment service, allowing any size of organisation to take card payments how and where they choose. The service is designed to make taking payments simple and easy and works with all face-to-face, online and telephone payment channels to help businesses improve cash flow, enhance customer service and strengthen their proposition; ultimately increasing their competitive edge.

The offer is underpinned by a brand new website (www.pay360.co.uk) that makes pricing transparent by providing a unique calculator to enable businesses to work out their monthly costs based on their own transaction volumes and values.

More consumers now prefer to make payments with cards[1] and new technologies such as contactless are driving this even further. In December 2014 alone, 46.1m contactless transactions were made[2].

Pay360 answers key requirements for businesses by providing a complete payments solution that fits around the needs of small and medium sized businesses, helping to keep the cash flow running so owners and managers can focus on protecting and growing the business.

Safe and secure:

Andrew Davies, head of business and innovation at Capita’s payments business, said: “We wanted to provide a payment system which would benefit smaller businesses and help them to meet the growing demand for card payments.

“2014 was a record breaking year for new start-ups and we believe smaller businesses deserve to be given the same opportunities as their larger competitors.”[3]

It has been acknowledged that SMEs contributed significantly towards the recovery following the recession and in 2014, it was revealed that family-owned SMEs will contribute £218 billion a year to the UK economy by 2018[4].

Andrew added: “Pay360 builds upon Capita’s existing expertise in the payments arena.  We already provide payment solutions for over half of the UK’s local authorities, a vast range of public sector services and a broad range of organisations of all sizes. We now look forward to helping even more businesses to simplify their payments.”
