Today Malauzai announced the latest release of its mobile and Internet banking SmartApps™ for community financial institutions. Known for combining the latest mobile banking functionality with exceptional design, the apps now allow users to further manage card security measures and personalize their digital banking experience.

Key advancements within Malauzai’s latest release include:

·         Enhanced Card Management. Malauzai was one of the first companies to market with card controls in 2011, and has enhanced the card management functionality within its SmartApps to allow users to control card security measures from any device. By switching cards on and off and designating acceptable merchants, transaction categories and dollar thresholds, users are granted added control of their card security.

·         Family Financial Manager. Users can create their own apps to allow additional users – family members or accountants, for example – to access their banking profiles, establishing entitlements around which features and information others can use and view.

·         Personalized Transactions. Attaching an image from a smartphone or tablet’s photo library to a transaction enables users to easily record purchases and receipts to better track spending activity.

·         View as User Feature. Financial institutions employees can now launch sessions directly from their own console and ‘view as user’ to see what the customer or member sees, allowing them to more quickly identify and resolve issues.

“Park Sterling’s goal is to remain innovative and responsive to market needs, and our partnership with Malazuai makes that possible,” said Bill Bunn, group senior vice president and head of retail banking at Park Sterling Bank. “Malauzai is quick to market with new products and features that positively impact our customers. We love that we can get in front of customers and show that we can provide the same, if not better products that the bigger banks provide, and Malauzai helps us do that.”

Additionally, Malauzai’s SmartApps now give banks and credit unions the opportunity to provide customers and members with real-time support via include text chat, screen sharing and messaging. In addition to enhancing the customer or member experience, these options optimize resources allocated to customer service and support. The apps also support financial institutions’ marketing initiatives, providing additional access to marketing space and the ability to create real-time messages and campaigns.

“To consumers, mobile banking apps no longer simply signify convenience, they represent control,” said Robb Gaynor, chief product officer for Malauzai. “The recent developments within our SmartApps enable banks and credit unions to offer truly distinct digital channels that combine custom designs and analytics to allow consumers and small businesses to better control their finances. Whether a user is managing his or her business’ finances, tracking personal spending, making P2P payments, switching a debit card off when it’s not in use – or all of the above, SmartApps are about making banking easy, regardless of the device being used.”

The release of Malauzai’s latest platform updates comes on the heels of enhancements made earlier in the year, which included the addition of TouchID, P2P payments and enhanced text banking. Whether users access Malauzai’s SmartApps on a desktop, tablet, smartphone or even a smart watch, they consistently receive the Mobile Only Experience (MOX) that Malauzai has become known for – marked by exceptional, custom designs and simple navigation.
