We don’t know the details of this case, but ‘copy and paste’ remains a huge security and data risk – one that GDPR will make very expensive for companies.  The insider threat never went away, but with such a focus on DDoS, Malware and other external cyber attacks, companies have returned their security focus to the perimeter.  The truth is that security strategies must protect perimeters, mobile devices such as tablets, the cloud, as well as the actual data they contain, whether at rest or on the move.  It is only by covering all of these areas and managing proactively day-to-day that the risks can be minimised, though never eliminated entirely.
