Quadient (Euronext Paris: QDT), and Flywire Corporation (NASDAQ: FLYW) (Flywire) today announced a new strategic collaboration to automate and digitize business-to-business (B2B) payments globally. As a result of the partnership, Quadient’s cloud-based accounts receivable (AR) management and automation solution, YayPay by  Quadient, will extend Flywire’s digital payment solutions to its global B2B clients. 

Summary: The Dollar Index (USD/DXY), a favourite gauge of the Greenback’s value against a basket of 6 major currencies, rebounded from a six day fall to 93.77 from 93.57, up 0.24%. Better-than-expected US Existing Home Sales and a fall in Weekly Unemployment Claims boosted the Greenback. Resource FX leaders the Australian and New Zealand Dollars tumbled 0.65% and 0.52% respectively. The AUD/USD pair settled at 0.7467 from 0.7520 while NZD/USD was last at 0.7157 (0.7207 yesterday).

Australia opening-up.

Stocks remained firm, but definitely paused. The SP500 hesitating around 4550, and the ASX200 not looking comfortable for a move beyond 7450.

Meanwhile we begin to see the first opening up recovery data for Australia. Month on month increases will of course be strong as we begin to climb off economic crisis lows. Also, not all of Australia was in lockdown and the mining sector continued to power ahead. Do not make too much of the initial data spikes. These will not represent where the economy is truly at.
