Basware, the global leader in networked purchase-to-pay (P2P) solutions, e-invoicing and innovative financing services, today announced that Saint Therese, a Minnesota-based senior living organization, has purchased Basware’s (formerly Verian’s) purchasing and invoice automation solutions to achieve total spend under management and garner significant savings.

Additionally, Trilogy Health Services, LLC (Trilogy), a Louisville-based provider of senior healthcare and hospitality services, recently purchased and has now implemented Basware’s e-procurement solutions enterprise-wide. Together, the two organizations represent a growing trend of senior living organizations that are leveraging automated solutions to gain better visibility and management of spend, and improve the efficiency of accounts payable (AP) processes, while significantly reducing costs.

“With multiple communities located throughout Minnesota, we find it important to better manage spend across all of our locations, while also streamlining the core invoicing and purchasing processes,” said Mike Warden, CFO at Saint Therese. “Leveraging Basware’s innovative solutions and its in-depth experience helping organizations such as ours automate the purchase-to-pay function will prove invaluable in helping us achieve our goals.”

Saint Therese is implementing Basware solutions, including its purchasing, invoicing, expense and budget management solutions, as well as its supplier portal and dashboards. By automating purchasing and invoice processing across its communities of senior living facilities, it will be able to better leverage volume buying, negotiate early payment discounts from suppliers and streamline approval processes for requisitions and invoices.

With its roll-out of Basware solutions complete, Trilogy has successfully replaced time-consuming manual processes with faster, more efficient automated ones.

“Thanks to Basware’s solutions, we now have critical oversight of spending across all of our locations and a streamlined, secure and scalable infrastructure for future growth, and we’re able to track project-based buying and monitor spend against budgets in real-time,” said Mike McGrath, Director of Purchasing at Trilogy. “We also have significantly shortened approval and payment processes and gained visibility into previously unknown areas of costs, such as assets and facilities spending.”

“As our senior population continues to grow at record rates, it’s important that senior living organizations have the tools needed to better manage spend and streamline the invoicing process to better control costs and focus on what they do best—provide quality care and services to their residents,” said Tehseen Dahya, general manager, North America, Basware. “Saint Therese and Trilogy are part of a huge movement of senior living and healthcare organizations that are realizing the benefits that automation can deliver to help them more efficiently and cost effectively meet their goals.”
