The Merger of SWACHA and EastPay is Approved

The merger of SWACHA and EastPay, announced on June 28, has been formally approved by their respective Boards of Directors. The merger of the two Regional Payments Associations (RPAs), effective August 1, 2016, was also approved by the SWACHA membership, as required by SWACHA’s bylaws. The new association, ePayResources™, is the second-largest RPA member of NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association.

Additionally, the Boards of Directors of SWACHA Services Corporation and EastPay Advisory Services, their respective wholly-owned subsidiaries, approved the merger of these two entities to form ePayAdvisors™.

Laura Steele, AAP, President and CEO of ePayResources™, stated, “We are as focused as ever on meeting our members’ current and evolving needs for payments expertise and support; and this merger provides the expanded resources and breadth of experience to accomplish that.”
