Interestingly, younger respondents placed less emphasis on romance, with almost 18% of 16-24-year-olds prioritising money over love. Gender differences also emerged, with just under 8% of women choosing money compared to more than 12% of men.

Norwich proved to be the UK’s most sentimental city, with only 4% valuing money over love. In contrast, Greater London residents took a more pragmatic approach, with more than 16% prioritising financial security.
