Miranda McLean, CMO at Ecommpay, Shortlisted in Women in Tech Employer Awards

Chief Marketing Officer at end-to-end payments platform, Ecommpay, Miranda McLean, has been shortlisted in the Outstanding Advocate for Women in Tech category in the 2024 Women in Tech Employer Awards.

The Women in Tech Employer Awards celebrate the employers & individuals closing the gender gap in tech, with the Outstanding Advocate for Women in Tech category putting a spotlight on the people who are allies for gender diversity.  Winners will be announced at a prestigious event in London on 12th November 2024.

Miranda McLean has advocated for women and other minority groups in the tech community for several years. She firmly believes the FinTech sector must be as open and diverse as possible. In her current role, she is driving change to ensure the Ecommpay payments platform is as accessible as possible for the widest financial inclusivity.

“I am delighted to be listed alongside a number of other gamechangers in the tech and FinTech space, in these prestigious awards”, said Miranda McLean.  “I am fully committed to supporting the growth and diversity of the FinTech sector and am excited about the work we are doing at Ecommpay to enhance equity, diversity and inclusion in the company’s services for merchants and retailers as well as across the internal organisation.”

Miranda McLean has devoted considerable personal time to champion the skills and expertise of diverse groups.  Since 2019 she has served pro-bono on the Executive Board of the European Women Payments Network (EWPN) and has helped grow the community to over 12,000 members across Europe championing the skills and expertise of women in FinTech.  She is also on the Payments Association Editorial Board and a lead on Project ESG, encouraging FinTech companies to adopt progressive, sustainable strategies for how they impact the environment, society, and their governance.
