OPN Holdings Co., Ltd. (operating as Opn), the one-stop financial solutions company, today announced a strategic partnership with BigPay, a leading mobile wallet and e-money platform from Malaysia that was officially launched in Thailand recently. This collaboration aims to facilitate seamless digital payments as BigPay expands its services into the Thai market.

BigPay is one of the platforms under MOVE Digital, the digital business unit of Capital A, the parent company of AirAsia. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, BigPay has swiftly become a leading e-wallet player in the region with over 1.5 million registered users.

Following its success in Malaysia and Singapore, BigPay is now expanding into the Thai market to meet the increasing consumer demand for digital wallets and cashless payments. Opn has been selected as a partner to provide users the option to top up their wallets from their mobile banking applications, leveraging Opn’s expertise in integrating seamlessly with several banks simultaneously.

“We are thrilled to partner with BigPay and support their expansion into Thailand. Our mission is to provide the most stable and seamless payment solutions, and we are confident that our collaboration with BigPay will significantly enhance Thailand's digital payment landscape even further,” said Ezra Don Harinsut, co-founder and president of Opn.

Apirudee Prachyaset, BigPay Country Head, Thailand, added, "We are excited to bring BigPay to the Thai market and offer financial services to Thai consumers. BigPay is an e-wallet application that comes with the BigPay Visa Platinum prepaid card, which users can use to make payments worldwide. The process of topping up the card is one of the key steps that needs to be convenient and secure for users. Our collaboration with Opn will enable us to provide a seamless top-up experience, as well as meet the growing demand for cashless payments in Southeast Asia.”

BigPay recently launched its application for Thai users, offering payment solutions for travel that integrate seamlessly with the AirAsia MOVE application. Additionally, the app features Stash, Roundup, and Analytics, designed to promote the financial well-being of users in Thailand.

The strategic partnership between Opn and BigPay marks a significant milestone in BigPay's expansion strategy. By leveraging Opn's expertise in digital payments, BigPay is poised to deliver exceptional service to Thai users, drive the adoption of digital wallets, and contribute to the digital transformation of payments in Thailand.
