Thunes, the global B2B cross-border payments infrastructure company, has appointed Chloé Mayenobe as its new Chief Operating Officer. Mayenobe joins Thunes at a pivotal moment as the company continues its strategic expansion following its successful Series C fundraising in July 2023.

A seasoned tech leader based in our Paris office, she brings a wealth of expertise in transforming and scaling payments firms into their next growth phase.

Her experience includes executive operational and transformational leadership positions.  Most recently, she served as COO of fintech unicorn Solaris Group. Prior to this, she was Deputy CEO of Natixis Payments.

Furthermore, Mayenobe spent over 12 years at Ingenico Group, where she was appointed EVP of Governance and Risks before being appointed as Managing Director of Europe for the retail division. There, she was responsible for more than 1,500 employees and managed over €400 million in revenue. She completed additional studies at San Diego State University and is a École Supérieure de Commerce et de Management graduate.

In July 2023, Thunes closed a successful series C funding round led by Marshall Wace and supported by Bessemer Venture Partners and 01Fintech. The $72 million raised in this series will help Thunes further expand its global money movement network, deepen its reach in the Middle East and Africa, China and Latin America, explore new segments to serve an even larger customer base.

Commenting on her appointment, Chloé Mayenobe said: “I am excited to join Thunes at such an important time in its journey. Thunes has already made incredible strides in connecting the payment methods used worldwide. I look forward to driving further innovation and global growth, and making Thunes an integral part of global cross-border money movement.”

Thunes CEO Peter De Caluwe, welcoming Chloé to the Thunes executive team, commented: “Chloé's track record in transforming and scaling businesses is exceptional. She has helped many companies leapfrog to the next level of their journey, and I’m looking forward to seeing her advance Thunes to new heights, and help us get closer to our mission to make cross-border payments more accessible and efficient for all.”
