S-RM, the leading global cyber security and corporate intelligence consultancy, has today announced the appointment of Ferry Noordzij as Director, Europe, to drive the company's expansion efforts across mainland Europe. Noordzij brings over two decades of experience in intelligence, security, and cyber risk management to the S-RM team.

Prior to joining S-RM, Noordzij held the position of Director Cyber & Risk Advisory at Deloitte for seven years where he was responsible for guiding clients in reducing cyber risk and effectively navigating global cyber threats. Noordzij has acted as interim CISO for clients during his time at Deloitte and has experience as Boardroom crisis manager during global cyber-attacks. Before his time at Deloitte, he held senior positions at Accenture and Capgemini, and as an intelligence officer at the Netherlands Airforce and military agencies.

Noordzij will be based in S-RM's Utrecht office, which opened its doors last year. The investment in the region illustrates S-RM's commitment to growing its presence in the European market.

Alongside Ferry, S-RM has also recently welcomed to their Dutch office Gideon Teerenstra as Head of Cyber Advisory, Benelux, and Iona Tudor, Associate, to strengthen its Incident Response practice.

Ferry Noordzij, Director, Europe commented:

"By joining S-RM, two worlds come together: my background as an intelligence officer and years of experience in cyber security. In this new role I will expand S-RM's footprint across Europe by serving clients with intelligence for informed decision-making and by providing solutions to improve their cyber resilience."

Martijn Hoogesteger, Head of Cyber, Benelux, commented:

"S-RM has seen some fantastic growth in Europe in recent months and the appointment of Ferry is testimony to this expansion. We are ambitious for growth in the region, and developing our best-in-class team further will be a critical enabler of this, directing decades of experience and the innovation of the newest talent toward our clients’ needs."

Jamie Smith, Global Head of Cyber Security Services, added:

"We are excited about the expertise and skills that Ferry brings to our European team. As cyber-attacks continue to evolve and place significant strain on organisations across the globe, his wealth of experience will be instrumental in helping S-RM achieve its mission of safeguarding clients from cyber threats and security challenges in Europe and beyond.”
