Openpay, the UK’s latest next-generation, interest-free payment solution, has today announced Wolves as its latest merchant. The deal marks a key period of growth for Openpay, with Wolves becoming Openpay’s second sporting partner, following last month’s agreement with Fulham FC.

Wolves fans will benefit from Openpay’s ‘Buy now. Pay Smarter’ payment solution, which spreads the cost of purchases over one to six months, without interest. Fans are required to make an initial down-payment when purchasing replica shirts or other merchandise, encouraging responsible spending and minimising returns.

Andy Harding, UK Managing Director of Openpay, said: “Wolves are one of the most exciting teams in the Premier League and we’re extremely proud to become their payment partner. They are a club which has done fantastic work in growing their fanbase internationally and domestically, and with that comes an increase in replica shirts and merchandise sales - especially when kits are as eye-catching as Wolves’ this season! We look forward to many years of this partnership and being able to provide financial flexibility to fans.”

Vinny Clark, General Manager  of Wolves, said: “Our partnership with Openpay is an important step in delivering a better, more accessible retail experience to our fans. Our goal is to offer fans a convenient and seamless journey from the moment they enter our online store to the time their order lands on the doorstep. We believe our integration with Openpay will help us do this.”

Openpay launched in the UK in early 2019, following a record period of growth in Australia. The company is set announce even more retail partners in the coming months.
