New collaboration allows convenient digital payment for the Flinkster network and Call a Bike via multichannel platform Payengine

Token Safe solution for maximum security

Deutsche Bahn Connect has been using the new multichannel platform from Eschborn-based full-service payment provider Concardis since June 2018. All payments for the mobility services offered by the Flinkster car-sharing network, its partners and Call a Bike now go via the new Concardis Payengine platform.

‘Our customers should be able to use our sharing services easily and conveniently. We are pleased to have found an experienced partner in Concardis, via whose multichannel platform we can offer customers a smooth and fast payment process,’ says Dr Volker Serfling, Head of IT at Deutsche Bahn Connect.

‘In just six months, we have been able to provide Deutsche Bahn Connect with an intelligent, very user-friendly payment solution for its mobility services and to successfully integrate it into our multichannel platform. Now, all the company’s online and mobile transactions go through one channel – an enormous process simplification for Deutsche Bahn Connect,’ says Christoph Jung, Vice President eCommerce Competence Center at Concardis.

Concardis delivered a new, convincing ‘Token Safe solution’ that makes the way in which customer data is processed enormously safer. As soon as the customer registers for a Deutsche Bahn Connect service, their payment data is stored as an encrypted token. From then on, only this token will be used for payment processing.

The Token Safe process is not only exceptionally secure, it also allows small payments to be easily bundled so that they can be invoiced to the customer in regular intervals. This avoids transactions under one euro and cuts costs.
