Radius Bank, a full-service bank with an industry-leading virtual banking platform, has added Apple Pay to its mobile payment options. Beginning today, Radius debit card holders can use their eligible Apple devices to make purchases at more than a million stores worldwide. Radius also has plans to support Samsung Pay and Android Pay starting in 2016, which will give its clients the option of using these mobile payment platforms in addition to the Bank's own Radius Pay app powered by LevelUp.

"We strive to give consumers the ability to bank how they want, when they want, and we will continue to deliver secure, best-in-class technology and virtual services that make their lives easier," said Radius Bank CEO, Michael A. Butler. "We were on the forefront of mobile payments when we introduced Radius Pay in 2013 and are excited to expand our payment options so our clients can use what works best for them."

The Radius debit card is part of the MasterCard network. Radius card holders with an eligible Apple device can add their card to Wallet or Passbook to start making purchases at participating merchants. Apple Pay is accepted at retailers across the U.S. and the world using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, allowing users to complete purchases by simply holding their mobile devices up to an NFC terminal. It is available for iPhone 6 or 6 Plus and later, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 and later, and Apple Watch.

This rollout is the latest of a number of innovative products and services that Radius Bank has launched this year that provide convenience and value for their clients, including a new high-yield personal checking account -- Radius Hybrid -- and new strategic partnerships with online investment platform Aspiration and online marketplace lender Prosper. The Bank also plans on rolling out person-to-person (P2P) payments to consumers by the end of the year.
