Worldline and subsidiary equensWorldline, European leaders in the payments and transactional services industry, have signed a strategic partnership with Nordic Finance Innovation (NFI), the largest fintech executive network in the Nordics. NFI, led by Chris Skinner (Chairman) and Iren Tranvåg (CEO), aims to boost Nordic innovation and collaboration trough joint Nordic and international initiatives and projects. The goal is to strengthen the position of Nordics countries within the global ecosystem.

Establishing new partnerships

Joining NFI is an important step in the expansion of the partner network of Worldline and equensWorldline in an interesting part of Europe. “The financial players in the Nordics have a leading role when it comes to developments in the payments market. The high adoption rate of new cashless payments solutions illustrates this”, explains Kim Hyldig, Business Development Director Nordics at Worldline. “It is an interesting market for us in which we want to learn, observe and participate with our solutions and innovation.”

Worldline and equensWorldline will be part of NFI's strategic advisory team by appointing a senior representative who will contribute shaping NFI’s agenda. In addition, Worldline and equensWorldline will provide keynote speakers or participate in NFI events like other members and fintechs.

Remain at the forefront

Iren Tranvåg, CEO of NFI, explains why this collaboration is beneficial for all members: “As a representative of the largest fintech executive association in the Nordic region, it is important to work with visionary players with a European and global footprint. The partnership with Worldline and equensWorldline will bring added value to all NFI members through new insights into global trends and the future of payments.”

Michaël Petiot, Head of Alliances & Partnerships at Worldline, sees a great advantage in gathering knowledge and building relationships and collaborations with innovation networks. “This approach means we can offer our partners and customers the most innovative service. Through the cooperation with NFI, and with  organizations such as Belgium fintech platform B-Hive and German fintech-network TechQuartier, we can strengthen our connections with fintech partners and customers in the Nordics, build synergies with our wider European ecosystem, and accelerate business innovation in payments.”
