Metro Bank, the UK’s leading challenger bank, will begin deploying Vertera 6G Teller Cash Recyclers from Glory Global Solutions across its new stores opening in 2016-17, as well as replacing older technology in a number of their existing locations. Metro Bank is a new customer for Glory and the agreement reaffirms Glory’s position as the leading supplier of TCRs in the UK.

To further enhance the customer experience, Metro Bank will be deploying CashInsight™ Bridge, Glory’s powerful remote monitoring and management solution.  This will enable the bank to detect and localise potential faults at an early stage, minimising disruption to their customers.  CashInsight Bridge also provides the unique capability to distribute new firmware and currency templates remotely without the need for onsite visits by service engineers. This latter feature is particularly relevant in the light of the UK’s decision to introduce polymer notes starting September 2016.

The generic benefits of Teller Cash Recyclers have been well documented and there are numerous case studies of financial institutions (FIs) around the world that have used them to speed up transactions and reduce queues in the branch, lower overall transaction costs, improve security and enable more effective customer interaction. Removing the need for perspex screens has also enabled these FIs to adopt a more welcoming open plan environment across their branches.

Glory’s long heritage focussing on helping banks transform their branches has placed the company in an unparalleled position to provide such solutions and the compact state of the art systems enable cultural, operational and process change.  The company’s proven recycling technology has been adopted by thousands of financial institutions worldwide to deliver the highest levels of reliability and in-branch performance.

Paul McKay UK Country Head at Glory Global Solutions said, “We are delighted that Metro Bank has chosen to work with Glory as we identify with the bank’s unique customer focus. Our Vertera 6G Teller Cash Recyclers combined with CashInsight Bridge software is a significant evolution in our long history of delivering the best in cash automation performance for our customers.  It delivers the ease of use, flexibility and reliability essential to a service focused organisation and enables them to provide these high levels of service at the lowest possible labour costs.”

James Shaw, Director of IT at Metro Bank explained “At Metro Bank we’re committed to providing our customers with an exceptional banking experience however they wish to bank with us – whether that’s in store, online, over the phone or through our app. Our unique stores, open 7 days a week, 362 days a year, provide customers with a convenient and straightforward way to bank, backed by unparalleled technology. Cash automation plays a vital role and we’re delighted to be working with Glory in ensuring our customers benefit from the most convenient customer experience.”
