On October 15, 2015 Acadia First Nation (ACADIA) announced a strategic partnership with Mi'kmaq Dawn-Works Inc. (MDW) and Trinity Bay Technologies (TBT) to launch a Global Financial Transaction Processing Platform (GTP) to be located in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. This GTP will be an industry leader and will be capable of managing and completing millions of complex financial messages on a daily basis.

ACADIA Chief Deborah Robinson stated that Acadia chose MDW and TBT as partners for this strategic project because of their depth of management team, and that TBT's managing directors out of London, England are recognized as experts in SWIFT payments that have strategic relationship with SWIFT, and proven experience with Global Banks. "The economy of the Acadia First Nation is growing and has realized substantial year over year growth as part of ACADIA's vision of excellence and economic self-sufficiency" stated ACADIA Chief Deborah Robinson.

TBT is a diversified global company which specializes in supporting new technology enabled business processes for the financial services sector. In the UK, TBT operates Claimatrix, the world's only real-time collaborative claims matching system.

MDW is a First Nations business that offers dedicated strategic business development services to Aboriginal Communities. MDW seeks out, cultivates and promotes economic relationships with strategic partners with established skills, services and product offerings in specific business sectors. "The development of viable business opportunities is essential to the future of Aboriginal peoples improving Aboriginal employment prospects for the growing number of young Aboriginal job-seekers entering the labour market," stated Jim Maloney, President of MDW.

TBT in conjunction with MDW will integrate its global Claimatrix claims matching system with the GTP in an ACADIA Yarmouth location, which will be the first such system available in North America. This unique system will create 25 full time permanent jobs for the region immediately with more jobs added as the project develops.

The Global Transaction Platform will provide a resource for global financial services companies to participate in innovative development in this industry while attracting global companies to relocate services and skills to Nova Scotia. "We are excited: TBT has the skills, resources and knowledge of the financial services industry to promote and target companies that will locate in Nova Scotia" further stated Jim Maloney.

TBT has already started to work with ACADIA and MDW to formalize their agreement and to identify and acquire IT companies that meet the stringent international requirements necessary for establishment of a world class data center anticipated to open in Nova Scotia in 2016.

"TBT is proud to plan and build the GTP in Nova Scotia," said Paul Maines, Director of TBT. "This GTP will be highly scalable and capable of millions of transactions per day and because of our strategic relationships within the financial services worldwide we have first mover advantage in North America. Through our ownership in Simplex that was acquired by Bottomline Technologies, we have seen the exponential growth of this space in Europe. I have always seen the potential of such a platform in North America and am excited to be part of the realization of it."
