Fidessa has been named Best Sell-side Front Office Execution Platform, for the second consecutive year, at the 2016 Sell-side Technology Awards hosted by Waters Magazine. These awards recognize the leading technologies and vendors in the sell-side financial technology arena.
Jay Biancamano, Head of Equities Product Marketing for Fidessa in the Americas, who accepted the award, commented: "It is extremely pleasing to win this prestigious award from Waters for the second year running. We have continued to invest heavily in our platform over the last year, adding new functionality and launching our Partnership Program. Industry recognition like this shows that we are delivering what broker-dealers need, as well as helping them to stand out from the crowd by offering exceptional value and unparalleled levels of service to their buy-side customers".
In the past year Fidessa has added a number of significant new capabilities to its sell-side trading platform through its Optimized Trading Initiative. These have included: the Order Performance Monitor, which provides traders with real insight into their orders and executions in real time; Market Analytics, which provides a range of unique market analysis tools to offer key insights into live trading conditions; and, most recently, Fidessa Prospector, which uncovers potential trading and crossing opportunities that would otherwise not be found.
"Fidessa’s trading platform provides brokers with the technology they need to deliver new, value-added services to their clients, whilst at the same time boosting profitability by cutting costs and improving efficiency. Technology that manages, presents and interprets the vast amount of data that's now available in new and innovative ways. And technology that mitigates risk, improves transparency and promotes compliance", concluded Biancamano.
This latest award – the seventh for Fidessa's sell-side platform in the past twelve months – was judged by a committee of media and industry influencers, and was presented at a gala dinner at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City last night.
