Bolero International, the leading trade finance digitisation expert has appointed Andrew Raymond as its new global head of sales.  Raymond will leverage his 25-plus years’ global experience in the fintech market to drive further growth in the number of organisations using Bolero’s cloud-based services.

“This is a challenge I couldn’t miss,” said Raymond. “I’m going to be building on Bolero’s existing momentum – talking to customers and prospects to understand their challenges and exploring how they can benefit from the gains in speed, efficiency, productivity and security that trade digitisation delivers. The staff at Bolero are great people and I’m really looking forward to working with them.”

“We are now at a pivotal point, where many banks and businesses in international trade are starting to execute their digitisation plans removing the era of old-fashioned inefficient paper-based transactions that are highly costly and prone to mistakes and fraud.”

Raymond joins Bolero after seven years with financial software and technology services company FIS (formerly known as SunGard), where he led the sales team for the risk and compliance business in EMEA.   His extensive experience includes 17 years in Singapore working in senior positions for companies in the financial sector including SunGard, Algorithmics, Misys and SmartStream.  Raymond is a US Citizen and holds a BS in International Business and an MBA in Finance.

“As Global Head of Sales, Andrew will use all his experience and insight to further expand the world-wide network of Bolero users,” said Ian Kerr. “Bolero is a very ambitious company and we are determined to increase the number of international corporates, carriers and banks in our network. Bolero’s solutions will deliver safer, smarter and faster global trade digitisation and I am confident that in Andrew we have the person to spearhead the implementation of our strategy.”
