VCW Security is expanding to meet the increasing demand for IT securityand infrastructure management solutions.  The company has announced the appointment of Mark Thomas as Regional Sales Manager and Gordon Laverick as Senior Business Development Manager.  In these new roles, they will be responsible for building relationships with the channel reseller partners and providing the highest level of support and assistance throughout the sales lifecycle.

Gordon Laverick is an IT industry veteran with over 27 years of this sector, a BA (hons) in System Analysis and a PGDip in Wireless and Mobile Networks.  He joins direct from Garland Technology where, as UK Sales Director, he was responsible for business generation, channel selection and support for the company’s range of network access technology solutions.Gordon has extensive experience of working with core, edge and mobile network infrastructures and was previously Managing Director of Ixia, a provider of testing, visibility and security solutions for physical and virtual networks.

Mark Thomas has over 12 years’ sales experience of the IT sales and services sector and joins direct from Arrow ECS Distribution.  There, as Business Development Manager, he helped to sustain the company’s market leading status in IBM Education across the UK & Ireland, helping to achieve annual revenues of over £2.2m.  Mark is also an experienced training services manager for Tier 1 and emerging vendors.
