ISO 27701 is a leading international standard for managing private information. It defines clear controls for protecting personal data and ensuring accountability.

As an extension of the ISO 27001 information security standard, ISO 27701 focuses specifically on establishing and managing a Privacy Information Management System (PIMS). The framework helps organizations responsibly collect, process, and safeguard Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in line with global privacy regulations.
