Specialist Regtech provider Shield is proud to announce it has been awarded 'Best Data Visualisation Provider' in the A-Team Insight Data Management Insight Awards 2019. The award recognises the Shield platform’s contribution to data visualisation, specifically in dealing with unstructured eComms data, which is generated by an ever-expanding array of platforms/channels including voice, chat, email and IM.

The award arrives hot on the heels of Shield’s win of the 'Fintech Innovation: Best Regtech Platform 2019' by Juniper Research’s Future Digital Award last week. Shiran Weitzman, CEO and Co-Founder at Shield commented, “We are very proud that Shield has won this award, giving our platform further recognition in the dynamic and exciting RegTech sphere. This recognises our elegantly straightforward answer to the challenge of unstructured data, which provides a complete and automated unified compliance platform that ensures all relevant data is collected and properly sorted before any level of analysis or analytics can be successfully applied.”

Angela Wilbraham, CEO of A-Team Group, which hosts the Data Management Insight Awards said, "Congratulations to Shield on their success as the Best Data Visualisation Provider for 2019, as rated by our cross-platform readership of over 20,000 senior technology officers and data specialists. In a highly competitive marketplace this prestigious award represents an admirable achievement

Following nominations, each entry was scrutinized by the A-Team Insight editors and the Data Management Insight Awards advisory board, who compiled a short list which was then voted for by readers of Data Management Insight. Shield’s entry demonstrated its ability to collects eComms (including vital metadata) from all types of structured and unstructured platforms, which provides a truly 3600 view on eComms and trades for compliance. It also extracts valuable financial context for each communication to correlate it with trades, making Compliance more efficient and ROI positive overall.

The Shield solution uses a multi-source plugin engine to integrate with any data source across the business. This includes unstructured data (such as voice, FinChat, Email, Chat, Docs and Social) as well as structured data (such as HR data, CRM, Orders, Executions, Market Data, Active Directory etc). It then utilises an AI central ‘brain’ which employs Machine Learning and NLP (Natural Language Processing), voice and text analytics, and powerful correlation and enrichment technology to assess risk and compliance criteria from all the data sources in relation to the applicable legislation.

The powerful investigation tools fully support Compliance departments with on-going monitoring and manage investigations.

Shiran added, “We believe the Shield platforms offers the ultimate data visualisation solution, breaking the data silos, enriching and improving data with advanced technology and providing a full view on eComms, trade & financial data, whilst addressing cross-regulations and fully automating compliance and surveillance work. We are delighted that the award judges and the voting public agreed and would like to thank them for their recognition and support.”

Shiran also took part at the lavish awards ceremony held in London on Wednesday 6th December.
