Clausematch Tops BusinessCloud UK’s ‘RegTech50’ List

Clausematch, a global RegTech company automating policy management and regulatory compliance at financial institutions and other regulated organizations, has been recognized as the top RegTech company by BusinessCloud UK.

The award celebrates UK companies creating original technology for regulation, compliance and fraud detection.

“Our rankings celebrate technology innovators of all sizes, from early-stage businesses to established players,” said Jonathan Symcox, editor of BusinessCloud. “FinTech, InsurTech and RegTech are massively important in the UK’s technology landscape and narrowing the shortlists down to 50 businesses in each with the help of our expert judges is a challenge.”

BusinessCloud shortlisted 82 companies for potential inclusion on the list. Clausematch received both the most votes from the public and support from the panel of judges to top the 2022 list.

According to an analysis from the International Trade Administration, the UK fintech and regtech ecosystem is the largest in Europe, comprising over 1,600 firms as of mid-2022, with predictions of that number doubling by 2030. As there becomes increasing demand for complex regulatory reporting and risk management, companies like Clausematch are expected to see demand for their services to help provide compliance management and monitoring.
