Payment company Unzer has appointed Goetz Moeller as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective January 2, 2025. Moeller will lead Unzer’s Finance department, overseeing Financial Planning and Analytics, Treasury, and Accounting. His appointment strengthens Unzer’s leadership team as it continues to provide integrated payment and software solutions to businesses across Europe.

Goetz Moeller joins Unzer with a strong background in international finance and management, complemented by a proven track record in the payments and financial services sectors. He has expertise in business development, transformation, and mergers and acquisitions, having held key positions in prominent companies, including Nexi Group, where he served as CFO and Finance Director for the DACH region. Before that, he was a Management Board Member and CFO at both PPRO and PAYONE as well as Equens (now part of. Worldline). He holds a PhD in Physics and an MBA from INSEAD (Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires), one of the world’s leading business schools.

“We are pleased to welcome Goetz to Unzer,” said Robert Bueninck, CEO of Unzer. “His experience in building and scaling regulated payments organizations, combined with his leadership in both established companies and startups, makes him a strong fit for our team at this stage of the company.”

Goetz Moeller added, “Unzer’s journey to further digitize commerce is exciting. I’m impressed by how Unzer offers a comprehensive range of products comparable to larger players while maintaining the agility of a smaller company. I look forward to joining Unzer's leadership, contributing my experience and working closely with the team.”

Moeller succeeds Adam Conlon, who served as Interim CFO and helped steer the company through a period of significant change. During his tenure, Conlon strengthened the Finance organization, helped to sharpen Unzer's strategic focus and improved internal reporting. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Adam for his valuable contributions and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
